Comprehensive & Careful Infrastructure Building
A new water treatment plant and associated infrastructure for the City of Campbell River’s water supply, this project included three vertical turbine pumps to extract water from a 13-metre deep wet well, an Onsite Hypochlorite Generation System, and two UV reactors. The treatment centre was built directly adjacent to the city’s water supply lake, so extreme care was taken to ensure this body of water was not contaminated during construction. The structure is a combination of concrete, steel, and heavy timber, and some of the interior wood was milled from trees cut down on the property.
