Repairs to this 150 year old building included structural reinforcement to a deteriorated roof structure and reinforcing exterior masonry walls with grout and rebar. This project also included renewal of the roof and masonry as well as cosmetic upgrades.
Recently the Vancouver based Donald Luxton and Associates a 2015 Conservation Projects Architecture Award of Merit from Canadian Architect magazine for the firm’s 2013 restorative work on the 153 year old place of worship.
Donald Luston was quoted as saying:
